Canyon Brew Coffee

We had been on the road for 7 weeks and no sign of a Starbucks anywhere. I was actually somewhat surprised the company didn’t try to call me to see if I was OK. Deep in south Texas in the Rio Grande valley we stumbled upon Canyon Brew Coffee in the small town of Terlingua just outside of Big Bend National Park. It was the only coffee shop in town, in fact, it was the only coffee shop we had seen for days, or possibly weeks. We were delighted to find that they have all of the yummy flavored brews that you can get in any big city and a sense of humor to go with it.  Brian tried to pay with his Starbucks app (can’t blame him for trying) at which the barista replied “that app won’t work here, this is more like “Farbucks”.  Always fun to have a good laugh with a great cup of coffee.  Attached to the coffee shop is a nice store with a good variety of shirts, sunglasses and necessities. Be sure to stop by when you visit Big Bend, but come early because they have short hours.
