Gypsy Joynt

Gypsy Joynt is a family owned and operated restaurant in Galveston, Texas. We were first introduced to Gypsy Joynt by our niece Kelly about 3 years ago. The place has such a unique vibe and menu, it is always a must visit at least once while visiting the island. Some would say that the dishes can be a little strange on the pairing of foods… look past that and give them a try. Watermelon on a burger? Yes sounds strange but everyone raves about it. Eclectic and delicious! There is something for everyone and be adventurous when ordering. Also don’t pass up the coffee (Gone Nuts is my personal favorite) and homemade baked goods. Everything comes in large servings and equally large on the yummy factor!

In March 2022 when we were visiting the restaurant, we ran into the owners Keith and Lori. Learning the story of the restaurant and why they moved to the new location was inspiring. It’s a family affair with all their kids working there as well, so to them this isn’t a job, its their life.

It’s a very different and unique dining experience that you can’t miss. Also, don’t forget to check out their seasonal specials!

That’s really cool! We just ate there (with Kelly and family!) and the food was really good! SO different but delicious! Kelly had them cater her reception, too, and the food was beautiful! We had a meal that they don’t have on their regular menu and they laid a gorgeous charcuterie board.
