A Little Twist on the Way to Big Bend

Well, my mamma (rather my RV community) told me there would be days like this on the road. After a long drive across Texas from San Antonio on the way to Big Bend, we stopped over in Fort Stockton at the Fort Stockton RV Park. On the road for over a month, we were getting pretty used to the set up and move out routine by now. When we went to let out the large slide it made some pretty horrible noise, both inside and outside the coach. Now if I’ve learned one thing from my RV friends and community its not to mess around when it comes to your slides, so I was a bit concerned. After further investigation, it appeared that the center roller for the slide topper was restricting the slide movement. We got the slide out but I didn’t want to mess with it anymore but knew that we couldn’t exactly mosey down to Big Bend with the slide out, and we were scheduled to depart the next morning.

It was early evening by now and I needed to find a mobile RV service to come out in the morning. Me and Google got very intimate that evening. I stumbled on Big Bend RV Supply & Service which had amazing reviews. I knew I couldn’t wait until the morning, so I reached out and left the owner, Dan, a message. Within an hour we were texting back and forth and had an appointment set up for the next mornings.

Dan arrived late the next morning, identified a poor design feature causing the problem and implemented a fix that frankly the manufacture should have done initially. Dan was professional, personal, punctual and does outstanding work at a fair price. Heck, he even gave us some recommendations for 4WD roads around Big Bend! His company covers the entire Big Bend region, from the valley to Fort Stockton and beyond. If you ever find yourself in the need (and we all do sooner or later) for some emergency RV service when traveling in this area give Dan at Big Bend RV Supply & Service a call. Thanks to Dan we kept on schedule and made it to our next destination on time and (a bit) over budget.
