Nate’s Seafood & Steak

When in Rome. That’s pretty much our philosophy when we are visiting new places. We prefer to avoid the tourist traps and chain restaurants and seek out where the locals hang out. This tends to be the riskier route but normally pays off with big rewards. This is how we stumbled upon Nates Seafood & Steak years ago.

Located in Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island, Texas, many drive right by Nates because its not flashy, in fact it more resembles a rundown dive on the side of the road than a seafood and steak restaurant. Ah, just our kind of place! We have found Nate’s to always have a fun and friendly atmosphere with good food and a full bar. They have everything from seafood, anyway you prefer it, to burgers and steaks. But we really come to Galveston for seafood, don’t we? There is also outside seating available so you can eat and listen to the waves on the beach.

Again, it is not fancy but the food is good and it is authentic Galveston – we call it our comfort place.
